Yesterday, just like what I told you here, I was super duper wasted from work. Ang sakit sakit pa ng likod ko, yay I hope this is not uti again. So ayun, I went home feeling stressed and exhausted. We were supposed to go out with my dearest 101 friends but I graciously declined which is very unusual of me.  I was really feeling low, low low, low, low, low.

Not until dinner time came, aside from the yummy kaldereta which hubby cooked for me, he told me his wonderful surprise which made my heart jump in joy! He’s getting me a new phone tonight as in tonight! Yeeeh!! Nawala ang pagod ko bigla haha!

JUST ANOTHER MANIC SATURDAY

Dear Nani,

Ang busy busy busy mo, ano ba! It’s Saturday today, remember? Don’t you know that it’s a mortal sin to work on Saturday? Dapat petiks lang. You should be blogging instead. You haven’t updated your blog for days! That’s another mortal sin. I think what you should do is to close your Microsoft Outlook and turn off the ringer of your phone. In that way, you will be calm and relax. Ignore your boss. Ignore your suppliers. So what with the Hot Rolled Coils requirement for May rolling? So what with the inventory reports that is due tomorrow? So what with the ASTM and EN plastic caps and sockets for ordering? So what with the shipments (with S) that need Letter of Credit to be opened ASAP? So what with the purchase enquiries that require quotations urgently? Forget them. It’s Saturday. Go get some sweets and relax. Chill.

Now you have to FIND TIME to do the following, mas importante mga to:

1.     Tarpaulin layout for Mimay’s birthday.

2.     AVP for Mimay’s birthday.

3.     Search for Mimay’s Patriotic and Regional attire for Baby Fashionista

4.     Wedding venue for Kuya De-e.

5.     Blog update: Chopped part 2 and 3

6.     Blog update: Date night at Potbelly

7.     Blog update: Lyn and Len’s Bday (which happened more than a month ago na!)

So now, take a deep breath and gow!! Forget work.

Oh by the way, it’s my mommy’s birthday today. Happy birthday mi! I love you so much! This is your very first birthday that we are miles away. I miss you =( Enjoy your celebration in Quezon, I know you’re super happy right now. See you soon!

P.S.

It’s 5:30 pm right now here Dubai and our office hours is until 6pm only. My boss just called me in his office and told me this: “Jhanil you can’t leave today without sending me the report.”

GOOD NEWS!

Again, sorry for the lack of posts these past days. Was been too occupied with lots of things lately. I am itching to update my blog but I just can’t find time. Sorry Sorry!

But anyway, I have good news, read: UUWI KAMI SA PINAS FOR VACATION! Yeah! I am so excited to share these to all of you because I know you will all be happy for me too, right? =) We already booked and purchased our ticket online. Di naman ako excited =)

The moment me and hubby learned that Mimay passed the screening and is already an official candidate for Baby Fashionista 2011, we immediately talk and discuss the possibilities of going to Pinas for vacation. Honestly, it seems impossible financially because we only have less than 3 months to save. Since Mimay and Naynay just came here in Dubai for 3 months vacation, we are still recovering from the expenses. And hubby is not yet entitled to his annual leave because he joined his company in July 2010. But God is really good because after Poy discussed with his boss, he was allowed to use his 30 days annual leave! Yey! Yun nga lang unpaid pa, so we are still somewhat scrutinizing our budget. Bahala na, basta we just want to see Mimay and support her.

The original plan kasi is that we will have our vacation by November or December of this year for my kuya’s wedding. But because of Mimay’s event, ayun change of plan kami. Thanks to my very understanding kuya and soon to be sis-in-law Ate Jona, for adjusting their wedding date for us. Super thank you talaga! This will make our vacation more meaningful. Finally, our eldest brother is going to tie the knot! Ang saya! And you know what, me and my ate were both married in June and now my kuya’s getting married in June din. Ang cute di ba? I’m so excited also for Mimay kasi she’ll be wearing her first entourage gown in her Tito Dennis’ wedding. So memorable =)

I’m so excited! As early as now hindi na ko makatulog sa sobrang excitement. I miss my family so much! Naiiyak ako just thinking that I will soon see my family and our baby Mimay. The other day we were on skype, I told Mimay this, “anak uuwi kami!” Although I know she will not understand it yet, na excite ako to inform her. But wait, alam nyo ba response ni ineng? “Mamee? Yehey!!” Our baby is so bright, she can really understand things.

MIMAY IN BABY FASHIONISTA 2011

Last week, my sister sent me a message in FB telling me about a baby model search. They want Mimay to join there daw. I got immediately excited, so of course I agreed! A model search for my 23 months girl? Isn’t that very exciting? ;)

So after the registration and screening of Mimay’s photos, my very supportive family especially my siblings and mommy, all went this afternoon for the actual VTR and screening. The schedule is set at 2pm Pinas time. I was both nervous and very excited for Mimay! I cannot work because my mind is too occupied sa kaiisip about our baby. How I wanted to fly back to Pinas so that I can be with her to support her. Thank God for our very supportive and kind family especially my ate and mommy for taking care of everything.

Around 11:30am (3:30pm Pinas time), I received a text from my ate and kuya which says:

Ate: Pasok si ineng sa fashionista, yahoooo!!

Kuya: Pasok si ineng!

Goosebumps as in. I feel like crying and my happiness is unexplainable and overflowing! We are so proud of our daughter and we are so thankful to the Lord for blessing us with a very charming, adorable and pretty baby.

Mimay is scheduled for series of photo shoots and lined up activities in preparation for the  Baby Fashionista 2011 which will be held in the Centerstage of Mall of Asia. Watch out for Mimay photos in all SM Nationwides and newspapers.

MIMAY’S WISHLIST

or should I say, Mamee Nani’s wishlist for Mimay haha! 

Mimay’s 2^nd birthday is coming in exactly 1 month. I thought of making this entry for all our friends who are planning to get a gift for our baby. Ayoko kayo pahirapan mga friends, ninongs, ninangs, titos and titas so here are some of Mimay’s wishlist =) 

1.    FIT FLOPS – specifically the ELECTRA design. They are uberly cute ergonomic sequined sandals for kids. According to my sources, fit flops encourages the bones daw in young feet to move naturally and freely, so developing feet have space, can stretch and are properly stimulated. Nice no? Mimay’s feet size is US7 but the smallest size of fit flops here in Dubai is size US10. Incase you’ll find a size (US8 or 9 is better para may allowance) for Mimay, she’ll be very happy to own one. She likes color silver daw =)

AED 195 approx Php 2300 – Calling Ninang Abby haha!

2.    HIGH CUT CONVERSE – she already has one, color white. But it will be perfect if she will have one more pair. Any color will do =)

3.    PIGEON WIDE NECK BOTTLE 300ML  – Mimay’s feeding bottles are all 240ML or 8 oz. Eh Mimay can now finish 1.5 bottles so perfect yung 300ML or 10 oz para isang timplahan na lang. Mimay is a pigeon user since she was born, it’s tried and tested. We replace her bottles every 6-8 months as advised by her pedia.

4.     MP3 or MP4 with BUILT IN SPEAKER – Mimay super loves music! She loves to sing and dance! She will certainly enjoy this gadget and it will enhance her singing and dancing skills =) Calling Ninang Leds, I heard electronic gadgets are cheap there in Japan ;)

5.   EDUCATIONAL DVD – Mimay will surely love Baby Einstein or Baby Brainy! Pero any educational DVD will do too. Although as much as possible I don’t want Mimay to watch tv too much, but at least watching educational DVD’s will make her learn naman. Kesa yung favorite nila ni naynay dati na Wowowee hehehe!

6.    CLOTHES – such as cute dress, short shorts, sandos, mini-skirt… mimay loves clothes! I so know! Trust me ;)

7.    EDUCATIONAL TOYS – or musical toys. Pero we notice Mimay is not so much into toys. Parang she gets sawa agad that’s why we’re not buying her too much toys. Even if we bring her in toy stores, wala lang sa kanya. But what she loves is toy slides such as below. But I know this is too pricey, so don’t bother. Shinare ko lang hehe.      

8.   TODDLER BACK PACK – Mimay wishes for a backpack na small lang where she can put her bottles, biscuits, cologne, diapers, wipes, etc.    

    

So there, initial list pa lang yan. Paguusapan pa namin ng anak ko kung ano pa mga gusto nya haha!!

MY BLOG STATS

When I came to office this morning, I feel too lazy to work. Ang dami ko kasing gagawin hence my sluggish mood.  But even if I have so many works to do, I was still able to squeeze checking my blog account and accidentally browsed my BLOG STATS. This is the first time I saw this. This is like an overview of the total page views history of my blog.

And can you believe this? I have 12,696 views since August 2010! It's like 1,800++ views per month!

Ang saya di ba? Thinking that people took the time to check my blogs really inspire me to write more and more and more. 


Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!! Although sana convertible to dirhams yung mga views choz!

I WON!

I am one happy girl here! Let me share to you why. Yesterday kasi, my officemate/friend Cel told me that Grand Cinemas has this promo/ contest in Facebook. I just have to like the page and there’s a post where I need to comment about my favorite film of Anthony Hopkins.

Eh since hindi ko sya kilala, I immediately searched in Google and learn that he’s the lead role pala in the remake movie of “The Wolfman”. So here’s my comment:

I wasn’t expecting to win, honestly. Until I received a notification in Facebook this afternoon that I was one of the 10 winners of double passes to the premiere night of Anthony Hopkins’ latest movie “The Rite”. Wow this will be a free date for me and Poy! Happiness!

I was very delighted! First time ko lang nag join and I’m fortunate enough that they chose my comment over others. Thank you so much Grand Cinemas!

But the unlucky part is, hubby and I can’t come to get the pass and watch the premiere night. Tonight kasi is our scheduled church service. But let me correct that, I am not unlucky, because I know our date with Papa Jesus is far better and more worthy than watching a free movie. I’m just happy I won! =)
