SICK

I’ve been itching to blog since I came to office this morning. Ang dami ko ng utang na kwento. I have quite a number of entries parked in my drafts folder waiting for final touch ups. Some photos kasi are in our laptop at home but unfortunately paguwi ko I don’t have time to face our laptop anymore, our little biik will not allow me. But I will make it up to you guys, promise! (as if may regular readers talaga ko haha! nani feeling amp!)

I just want to share first the latest. I came back to office today after my 2 days sick leave. I wasn’t supposed to come yet because I’m still not super okay, but I have a feeling na bumabaha na ang pendings ko, and guess what? I am so right!

But before I tell you the reason for my sick leave, intro muna. During the normal days in the office, it’s not very unusual to see me in the toilet often, as in O.F.T.E.N. ha? Tambayan ko talaga yan. Kung pwede lang dalhin laptop sa loob, nagawa ko na malamang. I find peace in the toilet, di ba kaya nga REST room? I feel calm seeing the white tiles, the lavatory, the toilet bowl and especially the mirror as I’m putting my lip gloss over and over again. Yes I’m abnormal that way. All my solo pictures are taken inside the toilet too. Ay aminin, gawain nyo din yan! Sauce!
But last Monday was different. I made a toilet trip for almost 25 times. And in all those 25 times, tumae lang ako! Sorry for the term, too straight haha! Stomach pain is killing me for the whole day until I had fever na din in the afternoon. I was literally shaking on my way home. Nilalagnat, natatae, nilalamig! We were supposed to dine out that night with my mom, hubby and Mimay but because of my condition, we postponed it.

To cut the story short, I was sent to the hospital the next day and found out that I have bacterial infection and due to my frequent pooping, I was already dehydrated hence my fever and chilling. I was immediately wheeled to ER and the doctor instructed to put on dextrose to me to replace the lost fluids. I was given antibiotics too.
I am feeling better now, although not completely well. It really helped a lot if you have a super dooper mega over caring husband like Poy. Kaloka! Haha! I love you bibi! You’re really the best! Thanks for taking care of me.

O sha 6pm na pala, ang daldal ko talaga. Uwian na! Have a blessed weekend guys!

KINIKILIG AKO!

I was so puyat last night but nevertheless I woke up this morning feeling energized and recharged. I suppose you know why (Nani smiles and winks haha) Anyway, hindi yan ang gusto kong iblog. I’m kinikilig and excited for something.

Remember I told you that ever since I really want a beach wedding? To get married with Poy in a warm, serene beach listening to the sounds of the waves, barefoot in the sand, with a fantastic sunset view… is a big dream for me and you know what? IT WILL HAPPEN!!!

Oh well, it’s not that I’m unhappy with our 2008 garden wedding. Getting married in Tagaytay, with a perfect sight of Taal lake, is a dream come true for me too.

But honestly, I wanted a beach wedding more. It just didn’t materialize for us basically because me and Poy both came from Laguna. Walang beach dun. The nearest is Batangas pa. San Juan or Laiya which are already far from our place. Unlike Tagaytay, via Sta Rosa, travel time is just an hour. Less hassle for the guests. Plus, we got married on June (on my bday too), rainy month yun so delikado din if the location is beach. We don’t want naman to move our wedding month. So with those, we crossed out the possibility of us getting married in a beach.

But now, 3.5 years after being married with my dear hubby, naiisip ko pa rin si beach wedding. Tapos naka red dress ako and curly curly-han hair. I’m just thinking now that sana we braved out the beach wedding planning before.  I told it to Poy. Oo naman ng oo yun, wag lang ba ako magalit. But the past days and especially last night was different, serious ang usapan namin and husband really has plans of renewing our wedding vows on our 5th year anniversary. Saan? Sa beach! *cartwheel 1000x*
praying that our's will have a view of burj al arab too!
I’m still in cloud nine right now, as in! I’m still slowly digesting everything. Naeexcite ako eh! First, I am going to have my dream beach wedding 5 years after my dream garden wedding! Lucky lucky me! Second, we will get to celebrate it with Mimay as our flower girl and malay mo I’m preggers na din with our second by that time =) And lastly, seryoso si Poy irenew ang vows nya with me! Hindi nya ko ia-annull after 5 years howyes!!!

But it’ll be super simple lang, I’m just so excited to wear a red dress in a beach tapos the guests would wear white and flip flops. Okay na yun sa kin. No need for grandiose preparations. I have initial plans and ideas already in mind. We’re just not decided yet whether it will be here in Dubai or sa Pinas. But it will surely be a very intimate celebration, very unlike our 2008 wedding na parang meeting-de-avance (how do you spell that nga?). Sobrang simple lang this time pero sa beach at naka RED ako. Yun yon! =)
I want a dress similar to this, good luck sa kin at sa cleavage ko haha!
Me to Poy: Bi ok lang kahit KFC meal lang food sa beach wedding (vow renewal) natin, importante maganda suot namin ni Mimay ;) LOL!

I really pray everything will go well especially ang budget ;) Please pray with us.

I’M SO AFFECTED

… sa break up ni Atom and Patty!

If you’re an echoserang blog hopper like me, it will be very impossible if you do not know Patty Laurel. Her blog is very addicting, very entertaining. I’m her fan. By reading her blog, I learned to love her. She’s very witty! I adore her for her love to travel. One of Patty’s life plans is to match her current age with the number of countries she will visit. And so far, she has accomplished it. She’s also a former MTV VJ and Studio 23’s host.

This is Patty. The very pretty Patty.

On the other hand, in case you don’t know him, Atom Araullo is my ex-boyfriend choz! Atom is a famous news reporter and a host in ABS CBN. He looks very smart and mabango. His eyes actually look like Rico Yan I think. Not only gwapo, but brainy too. Di na kailangan mag-ulam pa haha! He never fails to make me smile when I see him on TV. Kung may ‘crush at first sight (on TV)’ na matatawag, eto yun! Atom baby, you really got me! Haha!

If I may just share, I’m a frustrated reporter/ newscaster. Even before my highschool graduation, I’m decided to take up Mass Communications in college. I really want to be a reporter or a newscaster then. But due to slight family pressure, I took up Engineering instead since both of my siblings are Engineers. Baka ma-OP ako so I took up the same course like them. No regrets naman but I could have been happier if I were a reporter now and not an Engineer. So that explains my ultimate love for Atom. At his young age, aside from his physical looks, he’s a very accomplished news reporter which I once dreamed of.

My forever crush Atom. Don’t tell Poy haha!

Because of my love for these two, I religiously follow Patty’s “Ohlala come waste your time with me” blog. She has many stories there about her and Atom and their travels together. Their love story is like a fairytale for me. They look so perfect for each other.

Until one day, I cannot access Patty’s site anymore. All the while I thought problem lang sa blogger. It never did occur to me that Patty’s actually renovating her blog site because of her break up with Atom. I was really shocked. You see, Patty’s my idol in blogging then I heart Atom as a reporter plus they’re in a perfect relationship tapos biglang no more of them together? It was so heartbreaking. It’s like my favorite fairytale movie ended too, with no happy ending.

I am so affected.

Anyway, here is Patty’s new site. Click here. I am not yet updated though with her new blog entries now, di pa ko nakakarecover sa break up nila ni Atom eh. Backslider fan muna ako ni Patty for the meantime hehe.

HAPPY 29TH BABY!

Dear Mimay,
Yesterday we celebrated your 29 months of existence, which I can say is the happiest 29 months of my life. Because of you anak, Mamee Nani and Dadee Poy were born. Thank you. Your dadee and I still can’t believe that you have grown this fast. Easy lang neng ha? We still want to enjoy you more. Sobra kami in-love ni dadee mo sayo. You are such an adorable baby girl, sobra! The sweetest and biba baby on earth!
kabog si mamee sa boots!
For your 29th month celebration, we had a simple dinner in Salt ‘n Vinegar with your naynay. You were so hyper as usual. You accidentally tasted the spicy garlic dip which made you scream your lungs out. We were so tensed! Buti na lang you’re brave because after sometime you’re okay na ulit. Kulit na ulit.

The same night, you received your first ever Hannah Montana bike as our gift to you. You were so happy =) I can’t explain the happiness I am feeling just by seeing you jump in joy and excitement for having your own bike.
We love you so much neng. You are God’s greatest gift to us. Happy 29th month!

Love,
Mamee

EID Part 3 – MOE and BARRIO FIESTA DINNER

On the 2nd day of our long holidays, we went to Mall of the Emirates hoping that we can try Ski Dubai. Since sobrang init nga nowadays here in Dubai, the only thing we can do are indoor activities lang talaga. Though we’re doubtful if they will permit Mimay at her age, we still tried. According to their website, minimum of 3 yrs old lang ang allowed. Pero malay natin.
Ski Dubai is a mountain-themed, indoor-ski resort in UAE that offers varieties of winter activities. Snow in dessert?  Pwede!

Since holidays nga, sobrang dami ng tao inside the mall. Ay I have a short kwento pala muna. On our way to Ski Dubai, naynay and hubby had to use the toilet which is located infront of Coldstone, an ice cream parlor. While waiting for them, I was playing and dancing outside with Mimay. I overheard the usapan of the Coldstone staffs.

Staff 1: Ang ganda nung bata no? Ang biba biba!
Staff 2: Oo nga kakatuwa. Nanay ata yung kasama eh, maganda din kasi kaya maganda yung bata.

Lumingon agad ako sa paligid, si Mimay lang naman ang bata dun that time. And very obvious naman na sa amin sila nakatingin. Shucks ibig sabihin kahit mataba ako, maganda pa din ako hahaha!! Napabili tuloy ako bigla ng ice cream haha! Naynay tried the Cheesecake Fantasy flavor which has blueberries, strawberries & graham pie crust.  My mom was amazed of how Coldstone prepares their ice cream, with matching hagis hagis, very unique nga naman.
When we were in Ski Dubai na, I inquired if they will allow my daughter which is turning 3 yrs old na kako (Mimay’s just 2 yrs and 4 months). But they said no. Even though Mimay’s big daw for her age, they will still not permit her as per their rule. Hoookeeeey. Hindi na ko nagpilit kasi it was too crowded inside. Ang OA talaga sa dami ng tao. But I promise, we shall return!

After strolling around, we had to hop from MOE to Burjuman Mall for our dinner. Naynay and hubby requested for Bulalo so I immediately thought of Barrio Fiesta.

These are what we had:
Nilagang Bulalo, AED 40 (Php 480)
Seafoods Bicol Express, AED 32 (Php 384)
Calamares, AED 26 (Php 312)
Bagoong Rice, AED 20 (Php 240) – my ultimate favorite! Ang sarap sarap!
Aside from the bagoong rice, we also ordered 2 more servings of Jasmine rice. Di kami gutom nyan.
feeling na order ;)

obligatory family pic :)

my life :)
Right after dinner, which is 11pm already, we went to Carrefour for grocery shopping. Malls will be closed at 2am pa, saya! Mimay was still very much in the mood. Basta gala, laging nasa mood ang anak namin. San pa magmamana? ;)
We went home at 1am. Duling na duling na si naynay sa antok pero ang Mimay, tingnan nyo naman. Alive na alive!
Day 2 was so sulit! Bonding time talaga, which makes me miss my family more back in Pinas especially my ate and kuya. I’m sure if magkakasama kami, it’ll be like this too. Sulit na sulit ang day off!

EID Part 2 – DATE NIGHT

When our baby girl moved here in Dubai with us, Poy and I seldom go out on date. There’s always this guilty feeling on my part if we go out without Mimay. Kaso lately, it seems like Poy and I barely had time for each other. I personally feel na napapabayaan ko na ata asawa ko.

So with that, we thought that we should really have a regular date. Yung kami lang talaga ni Poy, parang jowa days lang. We admitted that we were both overwhelmed of the fact that Mimay’s here with us for good that’s why we became lenient of each other. It’s not healthy for a relationship. Dapat may tweetums at bolahan moment pa rin once in a while.

So last Tuesday night, after Mimay’s playtime, hubby and I went out for a simple date. We decided to watch Captain America 3D. Nakakahiya man, but yes, this is our first time to actually experience watching a 3D film.
We arrived late in Deira City Centre so di na namin inabot yung 9pm showing. We settled for the last full show at 11:45 pm. We killed time by strolling around. We went to one of Poy’s happy place, Sharaf DG. This is a shop of electronic gadgets. Nakakasuya, ang dami daming TV, speakers, laptop, etc. Now I know my husband’s feeling pag nasa Forever 21 kami hehe.

After sometime, hubby wanted to have spicy noodles daw. Since we’re still full from our late snack, we just wanted to eat something light. Since he wanted noodles, we tried this Chinese Resto in City Centre, China Times. When I was browsing their menu, weirdly though, they have maki. Parang ang labo no? Chinese resto na may maki. But since favorite ko ang maki, I ordered for it. Although I didn’t expect too much kasi baka trying hard ang lasa. But I was wrong, their California maki is delicious! Lumalaban sa Yakitori, infairness!
Mejo pricey lang sila. The California maki is AED 36 (Php432) while hubby’s Spicy beef noodle (na super liit ng bowl) is AED 44 (Php 528). Peklat, ang eat all you can sa Ponderosa AED 50 lang ah.

Anyway, after our snack, we headed na to the movie house. We purchased our ticket in advance so that we’ll have a sure seat. We get to choose our own seat, cool! The ticket cost us AED 50 (Php 600) per head which already includes the 3D glasses.
Ang pogi ni Captain America! Muntik na malaglag ang maluwag kong mini skirt. Choz!
We were seated in love seats. These are seats for two without an armrest in the middle na super comfortable. We shared a tumbler of popcorn and enjoyed every scene.

Thanks bibi for a simple yet wonderful date night! I love you more and more each day!

EID Part 1 – FUN CITY

I am terribly sorry (again!) for the lack of posts. Just been very busy because of the EID holidays and I took advantage of it. We had 4 days off. Actually 3 lang talaga, which was Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Ipit si Thursday. So I had to call for sick leave last Thursday ;)

We enjoyed the 4 days off mainly because of our little girl. Remember from my previous post, I’m so problematic on what to do with the long holidays? I should not be pala. Eventhough we didn’t go out of town, we still enjoyed our off in the most simple way. It was so sulit because we get to spend really quality time with Mimay and Naynay.

Tuesday, we woke up late and stayed for more landian minutes with our Mimay. I felt more contented that time because 2 of the most important people in my life are in that bed with me.

After lunch, off we went to Mimay’s happy place, Fun City! She’s been begging me for days na gusto nya mag slide. And her wish was granted. Lemme show you the photos inside the playzone.
Not only Mimay did enjoy, but me and hubby did too! Naynay came with us inside the playzone and made chika all the yayas inside. No need to wonder san kami nagmana ni Mimay sa pagiging chikadora haha! Anyway, entrance fee is AED 30 (Php 360) per hour because it’s holiday and AED 25 during regular days.

We tried the lazy boy chair massager after and boy it was heaven! How I wish we have this at home. Hubby kept on giggling because, kung di nyo naitatanong, super daming kiliti nyang asawa ko at alam na alam ko lahat kung saan ;)
Mimay also tried the electronic boat with matching paddle. I wasn’t able to come with her because the staff didn’t allow me. I think it’s because I’m heavy, di lang nila masabi sa kin ng diretso dahil baka ma-hurt ako, lol!
We had snack after in Marry Brown. I forgot to take pictures of the food because I am too hungry na. We had crispy spicy chicken burger (for me and Naynay), chicken wrap (for hubby), apple pie (for me) and french fries. All junk hehe! Mimay settled for catsup, tipid =)
It was one tiring but surely fun fun day with our baby. At 9pm, she was already dozing off. After tucking her to bed, hubby and I went out again for our date night! More of that on my next post ;)
