FAMILY WEEKEND

Last weekend, to celebrate our reunion, Poy surprised me and Mimay with an overnight booking in Emirates Concorde Hotel. It was something I am looking forward talaga, to spend more intimate time with my mag-ama. Thanks bibi for again, making me and Mimay very happy with your surprise =)
We were extra happy because Mimay was very delighted with our room. As in super hilata agad sya when she saw the bed and was jumping excitedly here and there. Our room was in the 6th floor and overlooking Dubai creek. The place was very serene and the interior was really beautiful. After some playtime, Mimay immediately fell asleep. Enjoy yang anak ko sa malamig eh, very same like her dadee and I’m their opposite. Super comforter tuloy ang drama ko.
After we got some rest, we headed to the hotel’s rooftop swimming pool. Our Mimay was happier when she saw the pool, kinilig talaga sya! Swimming is our daughter’s ultimate favorite activity. I am the happiest momma on earth seeing the hubby and our one and only baby playing happily together. It was priceless!
We had our dinner after in The Wok House located in Burjuman Centre. The hubby is craving for something spicy so I thought of Thai food. It’s our first time to dine in this Asian restaurant and it was really sulit.
For the starter, we had our all time fave Tom Yum prawn soup. The asim and anghang is perfect. Then we ordered the fried rice mixed with chicken, egg and prawns. Rice pa lang ulam na! Nyummy! For the main course, we had crispy beef and roast duck. Both are so tasty and the orders were very generous that we had to take home some left overs, ang dami nya kasi talaga. Even the drinks are highly commendable. I tried their Quick Hit which is combination of tea, cranberry juice and other fruit juices which I forgot na. I only asked kasi which is their best selling drinks and this is what they offered to me. Poy naman settled for Sprite.
Mimay loved their fried rice that we had to give her, her own plate and utensils. Aside from their yummy food, they have the friendliest staff ever. We give ‘The Wok House’ 10 thumbs up!
The following day, we enjoyed the scrumptious buffet breakfast served in the Creek View restaurant of the hotel. It’s included in our overnight package and it’s sulit as well. There are a lot of options to choose from in the buffet. I loved the different variants of freshly baked croissants. I also had French toast, fried & boiled eggs, potato wedges, mortadella, ham, donuts, fresh orange juice, coffee and fruits. PG lang haha!
Right after breakfast, we went to hotel’s rooftop again for another round of “miming!” It was scorching hot that we had to stay only for 30 minutes and make uto of Mimay that we will swim in the bath tub instead. Buti pumayag hehe.
We checked out at 1pm and went straight to Dubai Festival City. We had Charleys Grilled Subs for lunch. Calories galore talaga ko since I came back from vacation. Promise sa August diet na ulit ako, promise! I had Philly Steak while my bibi tried their Chicken Teriyaki. Whats good about Charleys is that Subs are grilled right infront of you. Kaya nakakalaway talaga as you wait for your order.
After lunch, we went to Ikea to get the cabinet hubby is eyeing for. He wanted it for our room since we have no more space in our closet for Mimay’s clothes. Since we have a very skimpy room, we decided to transfer our closet inside our toilet and place Mimay’s new cabinets in our room.
Nice our new cabinet no? Kulang na lang yung 42’ TV ni poy ;)

On our way home, bangenge si Mimay. Ikaw na magkaron ng magulang na galgal haha! There goes our perfect family bonding weekend. Hay I love weekends talaga!
Kayo, how did you spend your weekend?

MAMEE AGAIN

The best part of my pinas vacation is that I was reunited again after 4 months of being away, from our dearest Mimay. Mamee na ulit ako! I love the feeling sobra. Hearing Mimay calling me “mameeee!!” every minute is music to my ears, really! Kahit nakakahimatay ang anak ko sa kulit, nothing beats the happiness I am feeling because were together again.
Ubod sya ng arte and I loveet! She loves my tint, my lipgloss, my brush, my powder, lotion, perfume and my nail polish! She’s actually wearing red nail polish now! She’s my soulmate haha! This is the bonggang moment of having a daughter, para lang akong ni-reincarnate =)
And she has really grown so much. I’m still in awe everytime I look at her.

Scenario 1: Our Mimay is very appreciative
Her Ninong Dong brought her a new dress from Vietnam.
Mimay: Huwoow dayda ito ninong! Dayda!

Her Ninang Selo cooked kaldereta for her.
Mimay: Ninang Telo salap dereta!
She ate my ate’s kaldereta on her dinner, breakfast, lunch & merienda. Masarap nga siguro :)

I got Dora stuffs for her.
Mimay: Wow dowa! Tingkyu mami! Baybyu!

Scenario 2: Our Mimay is very maarte
We are going to a resort for an overnight. Since gusto ko mag bonding kami, it was just me and her and commute kami dahil hindi naman ako marunong mag drive. So I rented a tricycle so that we can go to the nearest terminal.
Mimay inside the tricycle: Mami ayaw tikel! Kotse lang. Ayaw ko mami, please naman! (sabay hagulgol! Best actress ka anak!)

Scenario 3: May sense kausap
We were inside my Kuya’s car. My kuya and his wife, Ate Jona, are teasing each other while Mimay is listening to them.
Ate Jona to my Kuya: labo mo eh!
Sumingit si Mimay: Di labo! Kita ko ah!
May point ano? :D

Scenario 4: Very bolera
I was going down from our stairs after I changed clothes.
Mimay: Wow gayda mami ko!

Scenario 5: and very HONEST, sobra!
I took off all my clothes as we took a bath together.
Mimay: Seysi mami! Seysi! (sabay palakpak!)
Oh ha! sobrang honest ng anak ko;D

Those were just some of the proofs that our Mimay is grown up already. She can understand things and can communicate really well.

And now that she is finally living here in Dubai with me and Poy, our happiness is immeasurable. No dull moments with Mimay. Despite of her kakulitan, she’s the sweetest. She loves to kiss, hug and cuddle. She’s so charming in her very cute way.

Thank you dear Lord for Mimay.

STILL ALIVE

-written at 2:15pm, July 14, 2011

Huwoow after 25 years I am back in blogging! I don’t know where and how to start my come back post. Wala akong kwentang blogger for 2 months, sheym on me!

Well just to update all of you my dear friends, I just came back last Tuesday night here in Dubai from my Pinas vacation. I just reported today for work and I still have ‘vacation hang over’. Tamad na tamad pa ako but I have no choice because I was supposed to return to office last July 12 pa nga. I left my mag ama at home and they are bonding so well, kainggit!

It was a pretty good vacation for me. I get to see my family most especially my siblings which I haven’t seen for more than a year. I was able to sleep in my own bed with my baby Mimay which was really heaven. I get to meet and hang out with some of my friends. I get to eat the foods that I miss from Pinas. I was also able to attend to my daughter’s Baby Fashionista event. And best of all, I was able to witness and be a part of my one & only brother’s long awaited wedding which made me really teary eyed.
It was almost a fantastic vacation only if hubby dear was able to join me. Due to some unavoidable issues in Poy’s work, he wasn’t able to come with me. It was surely the most disappointing and unpleasant incident ever happened to our vacation plans. Sira talaga lahat and it really made my heart cry every night while I was in the Philippines waiting and hoping for him to follow so that we can spend our vacation together. It’s very heart  breaking to attend to my brothers wedding and have our family photo taken without Poy. Sobrang bigat to enjoy things knowing that I left my other half in Dubai. I spent my birthday and our 3rd wedding anniversary in the plane ALONE. All the out of town trips even our HK anniv tour were cancelled. Goodbye plane tickets and resorts accommodation. It was such a very big disappointment! But just like what we have talked about, every thing happens for a reason. And we have accepted everything positively. We trust God and He knows better than us.

And after 32 days, it feels so good to be back HOME, which is in my bibi’s arms. It was such a high feeling to see him in the airport and feel his soft lips again. His warm embrace made me feel safe and secure. Seeing him smile touched my heart. I miss him, I miss him badly.
And now, it was such a wonderful feeling to wake up in the morning seeing my husband on the same bed as mine sleeping with our precious Mimay. I cannot explain the happiness, I feel so complete. They are my wealth. I love them to bits.

3 YEARS AND COUNTING…

June 10, 2008, my 24th birthday, was the date I bid farewell to being Jhanil Cruz to become Jhanil Aguilar and married the most loving man on earth.

3 years back at exactly 12am of June 10, 2008, in a room we rented for the members of our wedding entourage, with the help of focfox, Poy surprised me with a cake and a very beautiful bouquet of flowers in a dim, balloon filled room and danced with me in tears and laughter. Until the last minute of my singlehood, he made me feel so loved and special.

At 5pm of the same day, we sealed our commitment and vow, before the Lord with our very 1st kiss as husband and wife. It has been 3 years since that most special day of our lives and I have to say that it has been the best 3 years of my life. Marriage did changed Poy but in the most positive ways. And yes, after 3 years, he still makes me feel so loved and special.
I am in love, still so much in love with the same man God has destined to be my husband. I still get goose bumps every time he kisses me. It still warms my heart every time he hugs me. I still get giddy every time he says he loves me. I still look forward to go out on dates with him. I still love the feeling of him holding my hands and tapping me to sleep. And it still excites me to see his text messages, chat messages and long emails every day as if we haven’t seen for ages.
My Poy indeed is the best husband anyone could ever ask for. Next to God, I owe my happiness and peace to this man. He kept my sanity in times of difficulties, he kept me smiling in times of troubles, truly he is my knight in shining armor.

Bibi, words are not enough to say how thankful I am for having you. Thank you so much for being the best husband, the best provider, the best dad, the best spoiler and the best friend that you can be. I love you so with all my heart. Salamat sa lahat, sobra kitang mahal noon, hanggang ngayon at habang panahon. Happy 3rd year wedding anniversary bi!

Oh and thank you big time bibi for your wonderful anniversary gift. The best ka talaga! I'm such a spoiled baby always =)
At dahil birthday ko din, 1 more gift for me, yeehah! Spoiled nga eh, spoiled =)
More years of loving bi! Cheers!

5 YEARS OF HHWWMSSP

I never thought it can actually happen in real life but after five years, I look at Poy and realize that I'm still crazy about him, a lot!
It’s been 5 years since that night in Puerto Galera Batangas where I committed myself to love him, and thank you Papa Jesus because everything went soooo well. At eto nga, 5 years na kami at inlab na inlab pa rin si Poy sa kin ahaha!

Cheers!

BAD BLOGGER!

…raise your right hand! Pwede mag raise din ng left hand including both feet? Hehe.
Life has been really crazy for me for the past weeks. Ang dami nangyari sobra! How I wanted to share them but got no time at all hence my zero blog post for almost 3 weeks. Thank God everything is slowly falling into place now and hopefully, I’m back in regular blogging again.

I don’t want to go in details anymore, it’ll make me think lang of those sleepless nights for 101 family. What’s important is we are now all moving on and that no matter what happened, we all stick together, showing that our friendship is not only for good times but even more in bad times. Although financially hindi pa kami totally nakaka move on haha! And we are getting sick of KFC, ang hirap ng walang kitchen wheew!
But the best part here is we will soon be transferring to our new home :) Super level up! I’ll be blogging that soon. Watch out for our chuchal crib! We are all very excited for it. Here’s a sneek peak of our empty living room with Bert. Take note, salas pa lang yan ;)
Aside from “smoky” issues in our present flat, I have more issues at work. Just like what I shared here, work is making me totally insane. I couldn’t even find time to have a decent breakfast, lunch and toothbrush break. There are lots of emails waiting for my reply, fax waiting for my confirmation, phone calls from banks, shipping lines, agents, suppliers, clients and team mates bugging me about almost everything. Nakakaloka! And the worst part is, my counterpart who has been in my current department for 3 years went for his annual leave. Kamusta naman yun?! Just today, I had my lunch at almost 2pm already and I didn’t even enjoy it because I had to return back to my table. Management hired an assistant for me to somehow lessen my load, but the problem is I have no time to train her and she’s making me kulit more which is very irritating. Sorry pero lalo ako hina highblood sa kanya. Short kwento: I asked this assistant to make some copies of bank documents through the copier machine. I taught her how to use the machine and even asked her if she can do it na and she said yes. After sometime she remained standing in front of the Xerox copier. Siguro she was there na for almost 10 mins.
Me: Where are the copies?
She: This machine is not working.
Me: Really? Let me see…
I put the papers in the feeding tray and made copies. Ok naman si Xerox machine.
Me: There’s nothing wrong in this machine. It’s working.
She: Ohhh!! I see. I forgot to press the start button!
Nani: deadz!

And again aside from work issues, husband and I are facing this dilemma about his passport. Due to an accident in husband’s company, being the Safety Officer, his passport was on-hold in court for investigation. It has been almost 6 months and the case is still on-going so the chance of getting his passport for our upcoming vacation to Pinas is becoming a little wobbly. The case is not really serious as the cause of death of the deceased employee is accident. But as per Dubai’s court procedure, although husband’s company is willing to pay for the blood money, it will really take time and our vacation is coming in less than 3 weeks. This is currently under prayers and we really claim that everything will be okay before our scheduled flight. Join us in prayer guys.

I have to end this post. Masyado ko naexcite and it’s 2 am already. Goodnight!

Happy Friday everyone!
